“ Good turkey sandwich, could use better bread...not so soft and some cranberry sauce would be nice. The baked goods are okay...not great but adequate. However, plastic wrap breads were bland. Of course, I tend to compare this to my fav spot in Bishop and there is no comparison. ”
“ 1/19/2025: First-Born Daughter wanted taking me to Paul Schat's Bakery while visiting Carson City. Aside, Daughter and I ate a couple pastries, I drank coffee while she drank hot chocolate, and we both bought several bake goods for our humble abodes in order, inhaling at our leisure. BTW: The nut pastry was DA BOMB~gotta eat just one and buy another nut pastry for an inhalation session later; the nut pastry wasn't inundated with a sugar overload--it was perfectly delectable! ”
“ What a fantastic place!! Love their baked goods!! Today (1/20/25) they were running a special, if you spend $20 you get a package of 4 large sugar cookies free. I ordered a cinnamon roll, nut roll and 2 loaves of bread. The cinnamon roll was good tho not as gooey as I would have liked. The nut roll on the other hand was fantastic... it wasn't really gooey but the nut roll has so many nuts on it. Wow... epic!! The loaves of bread were great! Sourdough wasn't as sour as I like but it was fresh and delicious with only 5 ingredients. I also got the walnut and raisin bread also excellent!! They serve lunch which I didn't get this time but I will be back to check that out!! ”
“ I may say, best bakery, breakfast, and lunch spot in Carson. We ordered cinnamon buns, ham and cheese croissant, and pizza bagel with cream cheese. All the bread we bought tasted freshly baked, moisted, and soft; the ham and cheese croissant was oozing with cheese, it was so good; the croissant was the best I had so far, the dough was soft and moist, the frosting tasted more cream cheese, and it's not too sweet, which I like. My coffee is really good. I had frosted mint mocha coffee, and what I liked about it was it wasn't too sweet, and I could taste the coffee. The service is efficient, and they are friendly. The ambiance is relaxing. It is really suited for a morning glorious breakfast. I will recommend this!!! ”
“ A well-established bakery in Carson City that is a must-go-to if you need a quick pastry and coffee for breakfast, or if you need to bring a dessert to a party. This bakery has so much to offer that you can get overwhelmed. Just realize that everything is good. ”
“ Once in a while we treat ourselves to some baked goods at Paul schats. My favorite is the blueberry cheesecake croissant, I get it every time. We also cycle through the ham and cheese croissant and the almond croissant. Both are good but a bit dry. My last visit I got coffee for the first time, and probably the last. Tasted very watered down, like a kuerig cup coffee. We have always gotten to go and it seems to be the way as there aren't many tables ”
“ Stopped in Sunday morning for a chai latte and pastry. I was told their chai was really good--- and I agree, got the spicy chai. Loved the flavor. So many pastry options ... but I went with a scone. It was fresh, baked to perfection, and not overwhelming sweet. The staff was friendly and chatted with me. Easy parking and the store has a welcoming atmosphere. I need to come back and grab something else on their menu. What a gem in Carson! ”
“ I came here for a quick Breakfast. They have so many different fresh bakery items and even serve lunch sandwiches and coffee! I tried their apple turnover and it was huge! The staff are quick and friendly to get you your order and the food is amazing. I will have to come back and try their lunch sandwiches and coffee! Definitely a nice place to stop even if it's just for 15 minutes! ”
“ Love this bakery and glad I had to be in Carson today and made the stop! Got a freshly baked loaf of sourdough to go as it's always the best! Soft on the inside and a chewy crust! Ordered a sandwich also with sourdough and got ham with provolone cheese. You pick your vegetables and I got everything but onion and peppers. Also the spicy mustard, mayo and vinegar and oil topped it off! Definitely with the $12, saving half for later! Friendly staff and quick service to go! ”
“ Paul Schat's is a Northern Nevada institution. They have so many options when it comes to baked goods. I love the variety of cookies and pastries. The coffee cakes and pound cakes have the perfect moist texture! They also have specialty coffees that pair so well! I recently had lunch there for the first time and it was great as well. The chicken club sandwich was flavorful and juicy and really delicious! It comes with a large portion of fries for the perfect meal. ”
